This is a lockdown love story. Otis is a pandemic puppy who came to live with me in London during the first UK lockdown when he was 8 weeks old. I had wanted a dog for as long as I can remember so welcoming this gentle little fluff ball into my life is the most exciting thing that has ever happened to me. You may have guessed that Otis is the inspiration behind the name (we call him Oaty Poty most of the time).

I am not an experienced designer but I like to think I have a creative side. I actually work in clinical and health psychology research, but in the UK's 3rd lockdown I was put on partial furlough. In my spare time I taught myself how to use adobe illustrator and toyed with the idea of making my own harnesses. It took several months for it to turn into a real business idea.
 
I've always loved the idea of designing my own products and Otis turned out to be the perfect little model to try on my designs. Although there are lots of companies selling dog accessories, I struggled to find many harnesses that I liked, and that fit my style, or Otis' look. Of course we focus on safety and comfort in our designs, but we want the end product to have a laid back vibe. We put a lot of thought, care and attention to detail into our genderless, earthy toned designs. We plan to add more products to our range and develop a lifestyle brand for cool pups, with boho vibes and a charitable and eco-friendly ethos.
